Echo editor Andy Phelan said: "The Exeter Business Awards provide a platform for the business community to nominate successful individuals and organisations for their hard work, innovation, investment, great service and entrepreneurial flair, and receive recognition at the annual awards dinner.
"I'm delighted to announce a new headline partnership with Eclipse Internet in 2013 that will create a new, digitally based approach to the awards, making the nominating process more engaging and interactive using video applications, blogging and social media tools."
Clodagh Murphy, director of Eclipse Internet, said: "We see the Business Awards as a great opportunity to give something back to Exeter. Based here since starting in 1995, we have weathered the recession and grown over the last few years.
"This is down to the hard work of our brilliant staff – the majority of whom live in and around the Exeter area. Being part of a set of awards that gives other local businesses a platform to shout about their success is a great way for Eclipse to say thank you and for us to help other small businesses locally."
The categories now open for entries are: Corporate Social Responsibility; Employer of the Year; Best Creative Business; Exeter Initiative for Science & Technology (ExIST) Innovation Award; Business of the Year (50+ employees); Small Business of the Year (less than 50 employees); Excellence in Customer Service; Family Business of the Year; Environmental Award; Entrepreneur of the Year; Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award (under the age of 30); Best Tourism/Hospitality Business. A Lifetime Achievement award will also be presented on the night.
The deadline for entries is Thursday, March 14.
Category sponsors include Exeter College Business Solutions, Fidelius, Ivor Doble and Pavey Group. For details of sponsorship opportunities, contact Justin Hall on 01392 207141 or jhall@swmg.co.uk
