41-year-old man from Exeter charged with grooming then attempting to meet underage girl for sex

A MAN has appeared in court charged with attempting to meet a 13-year-old for sex after grooming her on the internet.

Tony Bradbury, 41, of Whitchurch Avenue, Exeter, appeared via videolink at Exeter magistrates, He faced three charges; two were related to possessing and distributing indecent photographs,  and the third states that on December 12 in Exeter, having "on at least two occasions met or communicated with a female aged 13, attempted to meet the girl and intended to do something during the meeting which would have involved the commission of an offence under the Sexual Offences Act 2003, namely sexual activity with a child".

He did not enter any pleas and was remanded in custody until January 24 when the case will be committed to Exeter Crown Court.
