76-year-old in van collision
AN elderly man was rushed to hospital after being struck by a VW Transporter van in the city.
The 76-year-old was hit in St David's Hill area at around 3pm on Tuesday. He suffered a broken hip and arm and was placed on a spinal board by paramedics before being taken to the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
In a separate incident, a 27-year-old man is understood to have been involved in a collision with a van. It happened just after 2pm on Monday outside Market Carpets, in Market Street. Officers are understood to be speaking with the man concerning the incident.
