‘Malicious’ fire in Whipton garage destroys car and severely damages motorbike
A garage fire that destroyed a car and severely damaged a motorcycle in Whipton has been described by emergency services as ‘malicious’.
The blaze broke out at roughly 10:30pm on Sunday night in Barton Court, Whipton Barton Road, Whipton, Exeter.

Two fire appliances from Middlemoor and Danes Castle attended and crews used two breathing apparatus sets one main jet and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue service released the following statement:

‘One car in the garage was 100% severely damaged by fire and one motorcycle 75% severely damaged by fire. The garage itself was 25% damaged by fire and smoke. Police were also in attendance as this was believed malicious.’
