Ability Counts kicks off
THE Devon Ability Counts Football League kicked off this weekend with over 32 teams fielding over 300 players with disabilities.
Cullompton Rangers hosted the five men's divisions as well as women's and junior fixtures on Sunday, with teams from around the county – including Exeter City – taking part in what was the first of six rounds of games.
The league caters for many different impairments, with teams and players grouped to provide the most even matches possible.
Plymouth Argyle top the Premiership with two wins from three games, while Tiverton's Twyford Spartans lie second in the Championship and lead the Intermediate League. Amongst the highlights for the Spartans was an 8-2 win over ROC Active of Exeter.
