Anti-hunt lobbyists' claims are untrue
I MUST quibble with Joan Jones, We must not return to hunt barbarity, letters, August 21.
Joan claims that cubs are being illegally hunted by hunts at this time of year.
There have been no prosecutions for cub hunting and very, very few for any form of formal fox hunting with a pack.
Anti-hunt lobbyists continuously state that hunts are routinely breaking the law in the hope that this untruth will be accepted as the fact that it is not.

“You should probably have her 'dipped' and sent to the clinic before you head there m8
Not saying she has crabs but she was sitting on the floor and I turned the light on, she then slid sideways into the fridge”

“I was hunting a fox in Exeter on Friday night, caught it, took it home and then after the booze wore off I realised that the fox was actually a pig, from Stockport, at least 20 stone,
damn you beer goggles”

“Mr Bradshaw's argument is again scraping the bottom of the barrel. He should know that lack of prosecutions is not down to lack of hunting, but lack of enforcment and the dificulty of successful prosecution due to the flawly designed law and loopholes it contains. A fox was being chased right acoss the busy A377 only last October. The fox ran out in front of my car, and on the next bend, were supporters screeching at the side of the road pointing in it's direction at the red coated huntsman. They were all causing traffic chaos. The huntsman had his hounds all over the road. When I called the police, their response was that the computer is down and they can't send anyone. Lack of prosecution is defiantely not down to lack of hunting.”

“Using Mr Bradshaw's flawed logic on lack of prosecutions mean that it does not happen consider motorists stopping at a 'STOP' sign at a road junction, I have not seen any prosecutions for not stopping but my own observations are that very few motorists actually stop at these junctions.
Similarly very few prosecutions are seen for not stopping at a red light but again from my own observations I see 'red-light running' nearly every day”
