More retail jobs in Exeter could be under threat amid speculation that fashion chain Republic is on the verge of administration.

The company is reported to be lining up Ernst & Young as administrator after poor trading in recent months.

HMV and Blockbuster stores in Exeter are continuing to trade while administrators work to save the businesses, but 10 staff in Exeter were among 1,300 across the country to lose their jobs when camera chain Jessops closed all its stores last month.
