Appeal over Exeter homeless banquet
An appeal has been issued for help to put on a Christmas banquet for the homeless in Exeter.
Campaigner Danny McCarthy, who has organised the annual event for several years is looking for donations for this year's offering that is taking place at the Duke of York pub on Tuesday, December 4 from 7pm. The meal is also for people in supported housing and around 60 people are estimated to attend.
He said: "The feedback we had from last year's appeal in the Echo was fantastic so I hope it will be again. I want to thank everyone who helped last year but we are looking for quite a sum of money to put this on so any financial help would be very welcome."
