Appeal for witnesses after woman attacked in Exeter

Police are hunting a man after a young woman was attacked in Exeter during the early hours of the morning.

The 21-year-old victim was walking alone along Sidwell Street onto Blackboy Road when she was assaulted by a man. According to officers the attack took place between 1am and 2am on Saturday.

The assailant is described as 6ft 1in tall, aged between 30 and 40-years-old, of medium build with short blonde hair.

He also had a small blonde beard and wore a white and red flannel top. Anyone who may have seen the incident is asked to contact police on 101.
