Axminster teenager raises baby lamb after Sheep's mother rejected it
Teenage boys are not normally the world's most patient creatures.
But 14-year-old Jake Collier has taken on the unenviable task of raising a baby lamb... and one that looks like a Friesian calf, to boot.
Jake agreed to bring-up one of three Jacob Sheep lambs at his home in Axminster once it became clear its mother could not look after all of her triplets.
The four ewes at Axe Valley Wildlife Park will eventually produce a total of 11 lambs including the triplets.

Jayne Collier, Jake's mother, said: "Jake has taken it in his stride. He's never raised a lamb before, but we've said it's his animal and he's very independent.
"Feeding it every three or four hours certainly gets him out of bed in the morning."
Wildlife Park proprietors Andrew and Jayne Collier bought the sheep in September for "something different" to their other animal collections, including meerkats, miniature ponies and parrots. Mrs Collier said: "We are looking forward to taking the lamb outside. The sun has started to shine, but it's so cold they are having to stay indoors."
She added: "The lamb looks like a black and white Friesian calf.
"When we first got it, everyone thought I'd bought a black and white cow."

“It's a lamb, or a baby sheep. You wouldn't talk about a baby puppy - lamb is the correct term for an infant sheep.”
