Baxter inspires derby win
Exeter Chiefs encountered few problems as they eased to a comfortable 30-15 win away to Cornish Pirates in the Championship on Sunday afternoon.
No.8 Rich Baxter was the driving force behind the triumph, scoring two tries — including a 65-metre run in from an interception — and pushing his team forward at every opportunity.
Andy Miller scored the only try of the first half as the Chiefs went in at the break 13-0 ahead.
Blair Cowan crossed for the Pirates early in the second half, but Baxter's double and a score on his 100th league appearance for Neil Clark ensured the visitors went home happy.
