IF Conservative parliamentary candidates here in the Westcountry and elsewhere are so proud of their commitment to repeal the Hunting Act and re-legalise barbarity in the name of entertainment, will they be putting a picture of a disembowelled fox on their election leaflets?

Why stop there? Surely if would-be Conservative MPs are so keen to be associated with bloodsports they will have posters of a stag chased to exhaustion by a pack of hounds, it's tongue hanging from its mouth as it cowers in terror.

Hare coursing will also surely be all the rage with voters so a big photo of a hare being pulled apart by dogs is a must.

The possibilities for our potential law makers to show how keen they are on killing for fun are indeed endless and I can't think why they are holding back.

So prospective Conservative MPs should not hide what they obviously are so keen on and which so clearly shows how in tune with modern Britain they are.

I am sure we will see those Tory bloodsports leaflets coming through our letterboxes soon.
