BLUES rocker Walter Trout will kick off his latest tour with a gig in Exeter.

His performance at Exeter Phoenix on Friday, October 9, marks the 20th anniversary of his album Unspoiled by Progress.

It will be his only show in the South West but fans from far and wide will be able to enjoy it because it is being recorded by the BBC.

With more than 35 years of touring and recording under his belt, the New Jersey native is regarded as a flawless and fiery guitarist and singer-songwriter.

The Exeter gig is being recorded by BBC Radio 2's Paul Jones blues show and highlights are being broadcasted on Monday, October 12, between 7pm to 8pm.

Support is being provided by P-A-U-L from Detroit.

Tickets for the gig cost £16. Details: 01392 667080.
