Boycott is answer to badger culling
AS the Government seems determined to ignore public opinion and scientific evidence and impose a vicious badger cull, just to appease the powerful farming lobby – who of course would far rather have a shooting free-for-all than improve their own welfare standards – then those who are utterly dismayed by this barbaric proposal have a simple but effective weapon with which to fight back.
A boycott of British dairy and beef products is the only remaining option. Opinion polls reveal that many millions of people oppose the cull, and translated into potential losses in revenue, that would be a serious counter attack.
Farmers needs to realise that there are plenty of alternatives to their products, and as for the Government, well, one would have thought it was in enough trouble already, without plunging its credibility further into the abyss with this unspeakably cruel plan.

“A meat and dairy boycott is the only option for those who care about wildlife. Hit these farmers where it hurts - in their pockets.
The public should at least have the right to know the farmers involved, so that they can boycott their produce. Supermarkets who deal with these people should also be boycotted. Ask your local supermarket whether they will disclose this information.”

“Never a truer word Penny. What happens if another animal is supposedly upsetting farmers, do they also get culled. I also am ashamed to be living in one of the counties and moved from the other county to here. Greedy farmers in this area are a disgrace. Myself and family have switched to non British non meat/dairy products.”

“Absolutely right Penny. I for one, feel ashamed that I live in one of the counties where this is likely to happen.”
