BRIDES-TO-BE sampled the latest in wedding day services at a special fundraising event.

The Wedding Fayre at Tiverton Town Hall on Sunday raised more than £600 for the town's Christmas lights display.

The event featured wedding-related services and goods including flowers, hairdressing, beauty products and jewellery.

Exhibitors say they were pleased with the response they got and a directory of what was on offer during the event is still available at the town hall.

The date was organised by Tiverton Town Council's Christmas lights committee and was also in support of the hall being licensed again for wedding ceremonies.

Money raised will help provide new electrical boxes and wiring for the Christmas lights display.

Grants towards the illuminations have also come from local councillors Polly Colthorpe and Des Hannon.
