The Exeter-based club is exploring the possibility of putting on a fast five-mile race called the Clyst Vale Five.
To be held on July 15, the route will take in quiet country lanes around Broadclyst.
Entries will open as soon as the club has been able to confirm further details, which will appear on their website at www.swrr.co.uk.
exmouth harriers
Entries are still open for the annual Exmouth Harriers-organised Fulfords Five race, which takes place this Sunday.
It is possible to enter on the day at the race HQ in the sports centre but entries are £2 cheaper online at www.exmouth-harriers.co.uk. The minimum age is 15.
Great West Run
Entries are rolling in fast for the Follett Stock Great West Run on May 6.
This half marathon sees 3,000 runners making their way around the centre of Exeter.
For those who don't fancy the 13.1-mile distance there is the Recruitment Solutions Great West 5k, which takes in a flat, city centre route.
The family fun run follows a route of just over a mile, leaving Exeter Arena just after the start of the half marathon. Volunteers are also needed for all the event.
Further details and entry forms for all the Great West Run races can be found at www.thegreatwestrun.co.uk.
