British music icon Bryan Ferry is bringing both his regular band and his newly formed jazz orchestra to Plymouth Pavilions next autumn, as part of his UK tour. Tickets go on sale at 10am today. Bryan will be performing an eclectic selection of numbers to celebrate his 40 years as a singer and songwriter – both with Roxy Music and as a solo artist – in his first major tour since Dylanesque in 2007. The singer has, unusually, just released a highly acclaimed instrumental album The Jazz Age.

Bryan Ferry plays Plymouth Pavilions on Saturday, November 23, 2013. Box office: 0845 146 1460 or visit www.plymouthpavilions.com.

Adam and Suggs to make welcome returns in 2013

Adam Ant brings his band, the Good, the Mad and the Lovely Posse to two Westcountry venues next April, following in the footsteps of Suggs, aka Graham Macpherson from Madness, who is touring his autobiographical one-man show Suggs Live earlier the same month. It's a welcome return for 1980s star Adam, who excelled in concert at Falmouth's Princess Pavilion earlier this year. Suggs' touching and funny show was a major highlight of July's Port Eliot Festival.

Hidden gem emerges in gig that bridges the Channel

In spite of weighty critical acclaim, Bristol-based indie singer songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Nick Talbot (pictured) and his Gravenhurst identity are still something of a hidden gem. There's a chance to find out what all the fuss is about when he plays Exeter Phoenix on Saturday, December 8. The gig – part of the IC Music Project which brings together music venues from England, France and Belgium to tour and promote emerging artists –coincides with the release of The Ghost In Daylight, Gravenhurst's fourth full-length album. Support comes from Mary Epworth and Ed Wood Jr.
