AN Exeter butcher has picked up three prestigious awards for the taste of its meat.

Pipers Farm scooped a gold Great Taste Award for its lamb burgers while its Red Ruby beef mince and Red Ruby beef silverside won silver and bronze at the Taste of The West awards respectively.

Peter Greig, who owns the farm with his wife, Henrietta, said: "It's fantastic to be honoured by these two prestigious organisations. It will come as no surprise to our customers that the judges found our meat delicious."

To celebrate, Pipers Farm is offering six lamb burgers free to customers who spend more than £30 in one transaction at its shop in Magdalen Road in Exeter this month.
