WHAT'S gone wrong with the Tory bandwagon?

Just after Christmas Tory leader David Cameron and his band of brothers and sisters were riding high in the polls but now the wheel of their bandwagon has nearly come off.

From being and looking very dispirited, Prime Minister Gordon Brown has now a decided bounce in his step.

Dour Gordon now has thoughts of putting his government back into power for another five years.

And if this happens it will be down to the wishy-washy campaign that Mr Cameron is waging.

It will be like the Titanic hitting that iceberg!

If the Tories lose control, Mr Cameron will be the Conservative answer to Labour's Michael Foot, full of oratory and nothing much else.

Come on. Mr Cameron, if you want to pull this country out of 13 years of doldrums stop trying to be all things to all men and women. That never works.

State with firmness what the Tory policies are. At the moment you are coming over as a weak leader with no real ideas. And that won't do. Stop bottling the real issues.

It is quite pointless having a cosy interview with your friend Alan Titchmarsh, an expert gardener but a poor interviewer, on the tough world of politics. Let's see you face such political heavyweights as Jeremy Paxman and John Humphrys.

They will push you into answering the real questions that the electorate want answers to, not the likeable Mr Titchmarsh who is out of depth when it comes to tough questioning.

David 'call me Dave' Cameron, if you allow the Labour Government a further term in office you will have virtually pushed the Conservative Party into obscurity and the country into the deepest black hole of despair from which it will take years to recover.

It is up to you Dashing Dave to defeat Dour Gordon. And God help this once great nation if you don't.

By the way I hope you don't get the wrong idea — I'm a floating voter not a dyed in the wool Tory.

The only party that I won't be voting for is Labour.

So come on, Mr Cameron, help me make up my mind.
