Casualty released from four vehicle crash on A3052 in Newton Poppleford

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue crews were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving four cars with one person trapped in Newton Poppleford at 15:34 today.

One fire appliance from Middlemoor and one from Sidmouth were mobilsed to the incident on the A3052 on Saturday afternoon.

On arrival crews confirmed the road traffic collision involving three vehicles with one female who was trapped within one of the vehicles.

The fire service released the casualty using cutting rescue equipment and they were then conveyed to hospital by ambulance.
