Ceiling collapse at Sidmouth shop

Fire crews were called to Sidmouth High Street today after reports a ceiling had collapsed into a shop.

They arrived at the scene at 10.10am to find the ground floor of a property damaged.

The shop was not open at the time and once the keyholder arrived the firefighters were able to isolate the water and electrical supplies and make the area safe.

There were no reports of any injuries.
