WRIST bands made to raise awareness of a Cullompton-based military welfare charity are being recalled.

David Godfrey, founder of Operation Braveheart, said the message printed on the brown and yellow bands was fading too quickly.

A new batch now has the words "Operation Braveheart, The Rifles Regiment, swift and bold" embossed into the rubber.

And Mr Godfrey said anybody who bought the original merchandise from Black Beauty, on Exeter Hill, should contact him for a free replacement.

Mr Godfrey, 64, from New Street, said: "The first batch was poor quality and the words were fading. Obviously I don't want anybody to have inferior products. The letters are now carved out as opposed to printed so I want anybody who bought one of these a few months back to get in touch with me so I can exchange them."
