Wright backed despite mistake
MARK Saunders has backed keeper Chris Wright to recover from the mistake that gifted Hungerford Town victory in Saturday's top-of-the-table clash at the Town Ground.
The stopper allowed Diak John's shot to slip through his hands for the only goal of the match as the Yellows' six-game unbeaten record came to an abrupt halt.

But Saunders has leapt to the keeper's defence, insisting one mistake should not cloud an otherwise impressive season from the custodian.
"It was a horrific mistake," admitted Saunders. "It was a simple shot straight at him at head height and, whether he thought it was too comfortable for him, he seems to have taken his eyes off it.

"With it being wet out there, it has slipped through his hands and he has dropped it into an empty net. But before that he has made two or three good saves.
"I said to him afterwards not to worry about it because he has more than kept us in games this season.
"He has made a mistake which has cost us the game and he has to deal with it and get on with it.
"He is a confident sort of guy and he has been fantastic for us since he signed. He has gone from strength to strength.
"People can harp on about the good wins we have had this season, but the keeper has more than done his job to keep us in games at times.
"He will have to learn to deal with these things and I can't stress enough how well he has done this season. He has to move on from it.
"You have got strikers who miss five or six chances and nothing gets said because you get beaten 1-0 because the keeper throws one in the net."
Tivvy's Red Insure Cup second round home match against Paulton Rovers tonight (Tuesday) is unlikely to go ahead because of the wet weather.
But Saunders hopes his side will have the chance to extend their unbeaten home record when they face high-flying Poole Town this weekend.
The Yellows have won five and drawn three of their five games at Ladysmead and Saunders wants that run to continue.
"Poole are a decent side," he said. "They are up there in the table and they have been chucking a bit of money around.
"They have got some decent players but we will give it a right go. It is another top-of-the-table match and a good one to play in.
"If we can win as many home games as possible and then pick up points on our travels, that is going to play a big role in where we finish in the league.
"We have got a fit squad at the moment and everyone is available. We have got 18, 19 players who are capable of starting the game so they need to keep performing or we will change it around. Everyone needs to do well to keep the shirt."
