Church moves in to new town
TWO new roles to help churches serve residents in new housing developments are being created by the Church of England in Devon.
The two posts will be based at churches in areas that are facing significant new housing developments in East Devon/Exeter and Plymouth.
In East Devon and Exeter, the work will concentrate on the areas of Newcourt, Pinhoe and Cranbrook. In Plymouth, the work will focus on the Waterfront Regeneration Area.
Only 14 dioceses received funding from the Church Commissioners and the Archbishops' Council for similar projects.

The projects will run for four years and will help churches to build links in the new communities, to enable them to support and serve residents. Reverend Anna Norman-Walker, for the Diocese of Exeter, welcomed the new roles.
