EXETER City have offered triallist Fred Murray a short-term deal.

The former Northampton Town defender featured in last Tuesday's 7-1 reserve team win over Forest Green Rovers.

City boss Paul Tisdale has been looking for some defensive cover since the season started and has been sufficiently impressed with 28-year-old Murray.

Tisdale revealed after Saturday's 4-1 drubbing at Bradford City that he will resume talks with Murray today.
