City sisters become grandmothers on same day
TWO inseparable city sisters could find themselves in the record books after becoming grandparents for the first time — on the same day.
Beverley Warren, 49, and sister Alison Moulder, 45, are celebrating their good family fortunes and said they were stunned at the coincidence.

Beverley is now the proud grandmother of Lacie — the new baby girl born to her son Paul and his partner Stephanie.
Alison's son Leigh and his wife Aimee have their first son Joshua and both babies were born within 12 hours of each other in the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital.
Both news mums were in the same hospital room prior to the births.
And only a matter of a few ounces separated each of the infants' birth weights, with Lacie arriving into the world at just over one pound heavier than Joshua. Beverley said: "As sisters we are inseparable, just like twins really.
"We both live within five minutes' walking distance of each other at Broadfields and we have gone on holidays together — next year to Tenerife.
"We stick together like glue. All our lives we have been so close and now we have become grandmothers for the first time on the same day is a bonus — a double reason to celebrate."
The duo even entertained on stage as the professional act The Sister Act for seven years before retiring from the showbiz circuit, which included holiday camps, last year.
"When we both got married, but not on the same day, we were bridesmaids to each other on the wedding days," she said.
"Our children are now describing us as glamorous nannies which is very heartening and we are looking forward to the christenings which we hope will take place on the same day as well."
She said Lacie was the first to arrive into the world at 3.54am, followed by Joshua who was born 12 hours later at 4pm.
"I don't know of any others in Exeter who can proudly boast at becoming grandparents at the same time," said Beverley.
"For our mother, Gloria Sandell it makes her a great grandmother for the first time too."
