Coleman looks to bring in players to halt Dale's slide
ROCHDALE boss John Coleman admits he may have to look at the transfer market in January in a bid to halt his team's slide down the League Two table.
The Dale have lost back-to-back matches against Southend and York City going into this weekend's game with Exeter City, and Coleman says they can ill-afford to drop further points as they bid to stay in contention for promotion.
"It's tight up at the top end of the table" said Coleman. "But we are kicking ourselves because that's two winnable games where we have passed up six points, and we have got to be better, we have got to improve. That might mean bringing new players in during January."
Rochdale have a similar problem to City in the fact that they have struggled this season with their home form, winning just three of their 10 games at Spotland.

Coleman thinks this might be down to the nervousness of his players, but has warned them that they must improve.
"There is possibly an issue with confidence at the minute," he said. "We have a few young lads playing at the back and we have two experienced lads playing either side of them and I don't feel we have got the blend right just yet.
"There have been too many individual errors and they are costing us points.
"We look a little bit nervous going into home games but the fans pay their hard-earned money and they have every right to criticise.
"I'm a football fan and I criticise my team when I watch them play so I have no problem with that.
"The fans expect to be entertained and they were entertained in the second half but we didn't do enough attacking-wise and we didn't do enough defensively in the first half to please the fans.
"We will keep working hard and we'll analyse the game, we'll go through it and be professional and if we can take the momentum of the second half into next week's game against Exeter, then we can get a positive result."
