THANK you to every one who asked and, yes, Stacy, my American wife, did pass the Life In The UK test for immigration and will be hanging in there with me a while longer. I know you all wish her good luck.
We came out of hibernation briefly this week to brave the elements and soon realised that it was a lot colder than it looked. Our shopping route through Princesshay was adjusted accordingly to include as many short cuts through warm shops as possible. We paused to look at things we had no intention of buying so as not to alert any staff that we were using their shop as a thoroughfare.

I noticed a pair of organic cotton jeans in House of Fraser. Very tasty but the zip was chewy. Why is it that, in most shops, the men's clothing department seems to be either up or downstairs and never at ground level? So I spent Monday like an obedient spaniel, following Stacy around the shops down town.
Tuesday was spent updating my online social network. This included my Exeter FM Blog, Facebook and Twitter accounts. All this is ironic because, by the end of it all you are left with very little time for any real life socialising or networking. Still, I did manage an hour at a nice warm pub near Crediton.
After a few lazy days, well to be honest most of January, it was time to start my new fitness regime.
My personal trainer Mark Wheeler says he is going to give me a body to be proud of, so I've asked him for Pamela Anderson's circa 1989. After a detailed MOT, I discovered my blood pressure was spot on, my weight pretty much on target and my resting heart rate 62. I just need to get toned to avoid having a sand dune kicked in my face when I hit Exmouth beach this summer in my 'mankini'. Stacy, meanwhile, is being put through her paces by her trainer Anne who is also determined to get results and has her running five miles a day. By the time you read this she'll probably be in Paignton.
My progress at the gym and my food combining chart can now be found on my blog via the Exeter FM website's Breakfast Show page, my Facebook, or Twitter accounts — or I can tell you about it over a pie and a pint at the pub on Sunday.

“I love reading about Nino's travels around Devon. He seems to really enthuse about our area and he's funny. Love his show too x Are you publishing more of his articles? Tam”
