CHARLIE Mahon says his Cullompton players will enjoy their trip to Hartpury College on Saturday regardless of the result.

Cully travel to Gloucestershire on the back of four successive victories in South West 1 West, including a 23-5 win against Ivybridge at the weekend. But they are up against formidable opposition — Hartpury have won each of their 21 games so far this season.

Mahon says his side will not worry about the form guide when they come up against the Students. Instead he is urging his men to play with the kind of freedom that has earned them 12 wins this term.

"I will tell the lads to just enjoy themselves against Hartpury," said Mahon. "People assume you wouldn't want to go up there and face them because they are such a good side but we don't see that as a negative thing.

"We want to be open-minded and challenge ourselves against the best teams."
