Six Devon men are cycling the John O'Groats to Land's End Challenge to raise money in aid of four charities.

The group of men are starting the 1,200-mile route from John O'Groats on Saturday and plan to average 100 miles a day. They are funding the trip themselves and will raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, ELF, Help for Heroes, and the NSPCC.

Fraser Hall, Ian Simmons, Nick Mortimer, Dave Coldham, Bill Reny and Simon Turner started their own cycling club but have only ever cycled 100km in the past.

Angie Lowe, Devon Fundraising manager for Macmillan Cancer Support said: "Any money raised will go a long way to supporting local people with all these four charities."
