A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to carry the Paralympic Flame is being offered to customers of a Devon supermarket.

Sainsbury’s has launched a nationwide nomination campaign to enter the London 2012 Paralympic Torch Relay in stores across the country, including at the Sainsburys in New Road, South Molton, which kicked off it’s public nomination campaign on Wednesday, January 11.

Customers have until Tuesday, February 14, to nominate an individual or team they feel is deserving of carrying the torch.

Sainsbury’s South Molton store manager Naomi Davis said: “This a great opportunity for our customers in South Molton to get involved in the build up to the Paralympic Games.”
