DEVON under-20s ended their County Championship campaign on a high with a 36-15 defeat of Cornwall on Sunday.

Launceston's Josh Coles was the star of the show, scoring 16 points, including one of his side's five tries.

Coach Jason Luff said they cut through their hosts in perfect conditions at Penryn.

The former Exeter Chiefs winger said: "We played some fantastic rugby, with offloads and big passes and using the full width of the pitch.

"We had a few players pull out late on but we ripped through them and it was a good way to finish the campaign."

After Coles' early penalty, Jon Carter went over for a try, closely followed by Chey Brice.

Lewis Patterson also crossed for a try for Devon.

Cornwall scored their first try just before half-time, but there was still time for Coles to go over. Cullompton's James Harris then scored in the closing stages.
