Diamonds are back at the top
EXETER Diamonds kicked off their 2013 league campaign with a 5-0 home win over UWE Bristol to take them back to the top of group B.
Comprehensive straight-games wins by Aisling Blake, Tim Vail and Joey Barrington gave Exeter an unassailable lead.
Former British Open champion David Evans saved Bristol's blushes by taking a game from Olli Tuominen.
But the Finnish No. 1 extended the home side's lead, with a 3-1 win, before Dutchman Laurens Jan Anjema made it a maximum-points win by beating Lucas Serme 11-8, 11-2, 11-8.
