One Direction video boost for surfboard firm
A Devon-based surfing company has had its hand-shaped bamboo boards used in the latest music video by pop sensations One Direction.
Crediton-based Circle One was delighted when its bamboo surfboards were used in the video of the band's new single Kiss You which was released on Youtube last Monday.

James Trevelyan, general manager, said: "The media company sourced the boards from us, but we didn't know if they'd be in the final video. We were obviously very happy to see they were."
Circle One was started in 1969 in a small shop in Exeter by owner Jeff Townsley. The company now sells its environmentally-friendly products all around the UK.

The official Kiss You video, which is nearing 20 million views, accompanies the second single from One Direction's Take Me Home album.
James said the video was already having a noticeable impact.
"We've definitely seen an increase in inquiries since the video was released," he said. "The shot showing our logo was only two seconds long but that's all that was needed for people to recognise the brand."
