Disgruntled motorist resorts to graffiti
DISGRUNTLED motorists have daubed graffiti and changed road signs in Tiverton to protest at the number of potholes.
The words 'This is a joke' appeared in large white lettering on a road surface blighted by holes near the junction of Pinnex Moor Road and Leofric Road last Friday morning.
And nearby Carew Road, was renamed 'Pothole Road' using a homemade sign.
Pinnex Moor resident Ben Mayo said he did not believe these guerrilla tactics "had done the situation any good" but said people were getting fed up with the holes.
No one from Devon County Council was available for comment.
