Dog days are over as Florence tour begins
CHOOSING Exeter to kick off their UK and Ireland arena tour is award-winning indie rock band Florence and the Machine.
Within a month of the gig being announced at Westpoint Arena, all 8,000 tickets sold out.

Those lucky enough to get some can look forward to an incredible live performance from the festival favourites on Tuesday, December 4.
It is another major coup for the 8,000-capacity venue having had the likes of Oasis, the Scissor Sisters and Stereophonics perform in the past.

The band's multi-award-winning debut album Lungs was one of the best selling albums of 2009 and 2010, and stayed in the UK's Top 40 for 65 successive weeks.
The band, led by Florence Welch, also saw their current album Ceremonials shoot straight to number one in the album chart and the single Spectrum (Say My Name) achieved their first number one in July. After the Exeter gig the band will travel to the O2 in London on December 5 and the run of shows ends in the UK in Liverpool on December 10.
Heading over to Ireland, Florence and The Machine will play a one-off Dublin date on December 12.
