Dogs and their owners flock to Exeter Fun Dog Show
Canines and their owners flocked to Exeter's King George V playing fields on Sunday in a day that kept the crowds entertained and the dog waste bins full.
The Greyhound sanctuary annual Fun Dog Show took place on Sunday September 30 with many braving the grey weather to enter their dog in one of the 21 competitions.
Across four hours a wide variety of breeds entered 21 classes including best puppy, best dressed dog, best child handler under 10 and most appealing eyes.
Sally Slater, who works for The Greyhound Sanctuary and hosted the day, said: "We re-home all over the West Country and the money raised today will help us keep the dogs in kennels over the winter. It has been a great day, the weather has held off and it looks like a lot of people have had a fantastic time."

The event has been running for over 10 years but was postponed due to bad weather this year. It cost one pound to enter each class and a raffle was played across the day with all money raised going to the Greyhound Sanctuary. The charity was set up to rescue and rehome abandoned and abused or unwanted greyhounds and lurchers.
Another class on the day was the 'Dog most like its owner' category with the judge reminding the winners that "it was nothing personal" if she chose them as winners. First place in the category went to Jo Stubbs and her canine lookalike Titus, Mrs. Stubbs said: "I have entered a competition like this a couple of time now. I first realised I looked like Titus about a year ago when I looked in the mirror and fluffed my hair up a little bit." Adding "If the dog was a bulldog or something I would have been worried but as he is a Rough Collie and a pretty dog I'm very happy with it."
