WRITER, performer and radio panel game star Barry Cryer will be at Taunton's Brewhouse on Saturday.

Following nine years of sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Festival, Barry and fellow comic Ronnie Golden present their wry observations and songs on subjects such as John Prescott, aliens and flower arranging makeovers for Wild West towns.

Following its sell-out success at last year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival, One Man Lord of the Rings, written and performed by Canadian actor Charles Ross, arrives at Barnstaple's Queen's Theatre, on Wednesday, February 24.

Charles has interpreted The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King, allowing you to experience the classic fantasy in just 3,600 seconds, without a props or costumes to distract from the story.

His debut show, One Man Star Wars Trilogy, was a sell-out hit of the 2006 Edinburgh Fringe.
