Dragon fires up firms' fundraising spirit
DEBORAH Meaden last night met representatives of companies taking part in the Echo's Dragon's Challenge and urged them to keep up their fundraising efforts.
The chairwoman of the NSPCC's South West Child's Voice Appeal heard how employees of firms in the Exeter area have been raising money for the cause.

Congratulating them on their efforts so far, she said: "You have got off to a really good start. It's absolutely fantastic.
"There's a lot of fantastic stuff I know about that's already happened, and I know there's a lot of stuff still to happen.
"It is a start, so keep up the good work, and thank you for getting on board so quickly and so enthusiastically."
The South West appeal aims to raise £1.6m by 2011 to recruit and train more counsellors and ensure more calls to ChildLine can be answered at the charity's regional base in Exeter. So far £500,000 has been raised.
