SOME of the Culm Valley's most vulnerable people fear for the future of a social and activities group after a charity withdrew funding.

Arts and crafts sessions have been run at St Boniface Catholic Church, Shortlands, Cullompton, for years, with the support of charity Upstream.

The group is described by users — pensioners with "greater physical and special needs than usual" — as a lifeline.

But from last week Upstream is no longer funding the sessions.
