East Devon road to be closed for four weeks
A road in East Devon will be closed for nearly four weeks while ‘essential’ roadworks take place.
The A375 at School Street in Sidford, will be closed to traffic between Tuesday, January 3, and Monday, January 30.

Due to the road closure, Devon County Council confirmed normal bus services would be “unable to serve Sidbury”.

“Has this really been thought through properly?? The council need to come out and state how this is going to be managed,
If that stretch of the road is closed it will mean chaos. Where are the diversions going to be??
Couldn't they do the work overnight and just shut the road then??
Its going to be 4 weeks of complete and utter chaos.”

“Sidbury will be cut off from public transport as Stagecoach are not running a service after 8pm or at all on Sunday. As the manager of a business that relies on customers that use the bus service especially on a Sunday it is going to result in the business losing a significant amount of trade for 5 weeks.”
