Event provides updates on exciting city projects
Harsh weather conditions did not prevent 125 delegates attending the Exeter Initiative for Science and Technology (ExIST)'s latest quarterly meeting, which was held at the Flybe Training Academy.
Set up by Exeter Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2011 as a platform for science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine-based enterprise in city, the latest meeting updated attendees on the group's work and projects ahead.

The event saw a presentation from Exeter and East Devon Growth Point projects director Andy Wood on how developments are progressing within the zone, while Dan Johns and Jonathan Ellis from engineering firm Bloodhound SSC outlined progress on the development of the 1,000 mph jet and rocket powered car, they aim to smash the World Land Speed Record.
Delegates also learned how Honiton Community College A-level students Christopher Hack and Katherine Storey have gained valuable industry insight through work experience placements with Exeter-based manufacturing giant Alcoa Howmet.
