“Apologies to Adrian, it was David I was responding to.”

“Adrian, I agree football could learn something from rugby with regards to refereeing. However I don't think that eye-gouging, ear-biting, stamping and faking injuries with theatrical blood capsules and ketchup are skills really worth emulating on the playing side, do you?
Putting Adrian's typical rugby snobbery to one side, as a football fan I congratulate the Chiefs on their promotion and I hope the club and its fans enjoy their time in the Premiership.”

“Interesting comment from K Searle 'football is the nation's game'. Football as it is played nowadays is a haven for professional cheats, thugs, bully-boys and prima donnas. Rugby, although much more physical, is at least policed properly and any cheating is heavily penalised. The sooner football referees are given the powers that rugby referees have, the better.”

“Adrian, you'd do well to remember that our "third rate" football team have historically attracted bigger crowds than the Chiefs even when in the Conference. Like it or not, football is the nation's game, not rugby union and the Echo's coverage has always reflected this fact.”

“Adrian, good point with the coverage in the Echo. However, as a City and Chiefs fan, it's a bit below the belt with your comment on City. I like to see all our Sport Teams do well - Ho, I remember you are one of those 'Football is for Fairys' Rugby Fan. If we promote the City as a Sporting City the benefits are massive for all. Come on Exeter!!”
