Exeter City FC to hold open evening for Futsal and Education Scholarship programme
Exeter City FC are holding an Open Evening at 7pm on Wednesday 13 March at St James Park for their Futsal and Education Scholarship programme for 16-19 year olds, male and female, from across Devon.
The evening is open to all current Year 11 and 12 students who wish to find out more about the course, which is a full-time, two-year Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Sport - equivalent to three A Levels. There will be a short presentation by the club's Community Trust staff and refreshments will be available.
The first two years of the programme, accredited by Exeter College, have proved to be a huge success, with nearly 60 scholars currently studying and playing within the programme. Education is based in the virtual learning environment at Exeter City FC and includes four hours of futsal training a week, plus fixtures against other professional football clubs.
