EXETER City have bolstered their squad with the capture of former Bournemouth midfielder Mark Molesley.

With midfielder Liam Sercombe set for a prolonged spell on the sidelines with a broken ankle, the Grecians have snapped up the 31-year-old following his release from the Cherries.

Molesley has also spent recent spells on loan at Aldershot Town and Plymouth Argyle, making a positive impression at Home Park and featuring in their 1-1 draw with Exeter City last month.

“Mark has always been a tough competitor whenever he’s played against us and will offer us an immediate solution to the void left by the absence of Liam on the right of midfield. He will bring strength and knowhow to the team,” explained City manager Paul Tisdale.
