The Exeter Northcott has been awarded £375,000 over three years to develop a year-round programme of theatre, dance and opera with performances from national touring companies.

The Arts Council England South West has made the award, which enable the theatre to continue the important work it has been doing.

The funding comes at the end of several hard years for the theatre and will enable it to present such companies as English Touring Theatre, Theatre Alibi, Ballet Black and English Touring Opera.
