If he did choose Exeter it would be a blow for Plymouth Uni who are currently investing £4million in a new diver training centre – which could prove attractive to Tom.
Tom is understood to have not yet decided whether to accept either offer – or several other offers made by universities in other parts of the country.
The Plymouth teenager is currently deciding whether to go straight on to university, take a year out or not continue his education.
Whatever he decides, a degree would have to be part-time to fit in with Tom’s intensive dive training as he prepares for future competition – including the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
Tom is currently studying subjects at A Level including Spanish.
