Since the start of the operation in December, a number of drivers have been arrested for drink drive offences, numerous have been breath tested and others received warnings for speeding or displaying defective parts on their vehicles. Two cars have been seized by the police team for not having valid insurance.

Inspector Webber added, “The message is clear. If motorists flout the law, there is a high likelihood of being caught. Anyone with information as to the identify of those who flouts motoring laws should let the police on Tel 101, or call Crime Stoppers anonymously on Tel: 0800 555 111.
