From playing a starring role in welcoming the Olympic Flame to Exeter, to the once-in-a-lifetime visit to the Falkland Islands to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Island's liberation during the Falklands War, it has been a year these Territorial Army musicians, who are recruited from across the South West of England, will never forget.

"This is an extraordinary time for us," said Warrant Officer Clint Bray, the Band's Permanent Staff Instructor. "We're scheduled to play at over 50 engagements this year and we've done some really special things like provide the bugle fanfare for the arrival of the Olympic torch at Exeter Cathedral and in June we spent ten days in the Falklands for  the 30th anniversary celebrations, but this is the professional highlight for us, no doubt about it."
