Exeter races meeting cancelled

Wednesday's race meeting at Exeter has been called off because of the weather.

A planned 8am inspection today (Tuesday) was put back until 1pm with clerk of the course Barry Johnson hopeful that conditions were improving.

But he has just announced that with snow still on the ground and with the prospect of more on the way they had no option but to cancel the seven race card.

The next meeting at Exeter Racecourse is scheduled for Sunday, February 10.
